Team USA feeling confident on South Korea downhill course
In the mountains of South Korea, Lindsay Vonn and Team USA's downhill skiers are feeling excited about the course they'll soon compete on during the 2018 Olympics.
The women's downhill course, located at the Jeongseon Alpine Center, runs a little more than 1.4 miles long with plenty of jumps, turns, and speed along the way.
It's a design the Olympic athletes have called "great," "really nice" and one that suits them "very well."
Vonn says it reminds her of Lake Louise, a place she's finished first at more than a dozen times.
"You get in the starting gate and I’m confident and I don’t even need to inspect the course I know what I’m doing, I know what I need to win," Vonn, the three-time Olympian, explained.
The course could wind up being where Vonn and Team USA slide into some Olympic gold.
"I feel like I know exactly where to ski well and exactly what the key parts of the course are," Vonn added.
