Border News: CBP agents arrest convicted felon

In border news, a Mexican national who had been convicted of criminal negligent homicide was arrested.

The arrest happened at the Brackettville, Texas station. Border Patrol agents say they followed footprints through a ranch South of Brackettville. There they found 34-year-old Alejandra Pardo-Castro. The homicide happened in 2012 in Dallas. Castro was sentenced to serve 18 months in prison and was deported to Mexico in 2013.

"Quite often, they go back to where they perpetrated the crime for which they were convicted,” David R. Vera Operations Officer for Customs and Border Protection said.
