I have the utmost respect for the West Orange Cove Administration with the manner in which they have handled this difficult situation. The Professionalism demonstrated through their actions, statements, and willingness to work with our school district during this difficult time is commendable.Their students, staff, and community are also to be commended for their poise during an extremely adverse situation created by a member of our school district. The inappropriate act by this student is not a true reflection of the Bridge City students, staff, school district, and community.I support the swift action by our Campus Administration and District Athletic Director to address the situation with the individual student, football team, and student body.

On behalf of our school district, I sincerely apologize to the West Orange Cove Consolidated Independent School District students, school district, and community.
