11th district representative Mike Conanway made a stop at our station today.Our Malik Mango talked with him about a variety of topics from the tax reform bill to what he hopes to accomplish in 2018.
One of his man priorities is to draft a new farm bill.
Cotton is not designated as title one on the current bill, and the congressman wants to get it back to title one. There is another change he would also like to make.

Conaway says,” we will propose significant reforms to food stamps that will strengthen food requirements that push the program where its focused on getting people the help when they need it.”The congressman says the bulk of the money of the farm bill is spent on food stamps.
The current bill expires on September 30th. He hopes to have a new one out by October 1st.
