The report said a call was received of disturbance in progress at a southside Abilene home. When officers arrived, they did not find anyone at the home, but found "obvious" evidence that forced entry had been made to the home.

Upon further investigation, the report said calls were made and received with the victim and suspect and officers determined the victim and Gimenez were mobile.

An attempt to locate the victim's vehicle was broadcast and both victim and Gimenez were found during a traffic stop in Runnels County and detained by the Runnels County Sheriff's Office. Gimenez was arrested.

Gimenez was found to have forcibly entered the home, assaulted his ex-girlfriend, threatened her with a firearm and forced her from the home. He forced her into a vehicle and fled the jurisdiction of the City of Abilene, the report said.

The victim provided information confirming the charges of burglary of habitation with assault and aggravated kidnapping. Abilene Police Department detectives transported Gimenez from Runnels County to the Taylor County Jail.
