Abilene-Taylor Co. Public Health District confirms three additional COVID-19-related deaths Saturday

There were nine new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 17 hospitalizations and eight recoveries, according to the health district.

ABILENE, Taylor County — The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District said there were three additional COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor Co Saturday.

The patients were:

  • a woman in her 80s
  • a man in his 50s
  • a man in his 60s.

The new deaths bring the total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Taylor County to 394.

Saturday's report from the health district included:

  • Nine new confirmed COVID-19 cases - one PCR and eight antigen.
  • Seventeen hospitalizations.
  • Eight recoveries, for a total of 14,922.
  • Tests administered in Taylor Co.: 55,434 PCR and 95,113 antigen, with 7,156 PCR and 8,303 antigen being confirmed cases.
  • Negative test results: 48,278 PCR and 86,810 antigen.
