UPDATE: San Angelo Health Dept. reaches registration capacity for COVID-19 vaccine

SAN ANGELO, Texas — UPDATE (2:13 p.m. Jan. 7):  The San Angelo Health Department announced it has met the registration capacity for the COVID-19 vaccine for Group 1.

Registration will reopen when additional vaccine stock is received by the health department.

The City will provide new vaccine registration details via social media channels, on the website,cosatx.us/vaccineform and through the media.

The San Angelo Health Department announced Wednesday it had received doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

According to a San Angelo Health Department press release, it will be opening registration for people over the age of 65 and who do not have a primary care provider.

There is a very limited supply of doses,  therefore the doses will be administered on a first-come, first-served basis. 

The vaccination site will be at the San Angelo Tom Green County Health Department, 2030 Pulliam Street Suite, Suite 8.

After all the doses have been used registration will be closed until additional doses are received.

Tom Green County residents who meet the criteria should visit, cosatx.us/vaccineform to register to receive the vaccine.

A copy of the registration form must be presented at the time of vaccination, according to the release.

Residents must have a confirmation of an appointment and walk-ins will be accepted.

Tom Green County residents who meet the criteria for Phase 1B and have a primary care provider will need to contact their provider for information on receiving the vaccine.
