ABILENE, Texas — An Abilene teenager who was reported missing in November is now in protective custody.
According to the Abilene Police Department, on Monday, March 29, officers recovered the girl who reported missing by family in November. Patrol officers were called to an apartment complex in north Abilene Monday evening and found Nevaeh Grace Smith, who is now in protective custody.
The investigation into Nevaeh's time away from home is ongoing. Because of her age, no further information is releasable, according to the APD.
