Local man shot and airlifted to San Antonio

A San Angelo man was shot in the leg by an acquaintance while he was retrieving some belongings from the shooter's house. 

A 32-year-old San Angelo man was airlifted to San Antonio after being shot the morning of Oct. 5, 2017. The shooting took place in the 3200 Block of North St. around 2:20 a.m.

According to San Anglo Police Department, the man was shot in the leg by an acquaintance, 22-year-old Joshua Henry.

The victim was staying with Henry and went by the house to get his belongings. Henry then told the victim to leave seconds before he shot him.

When police arrived, they found the victim in the doorway, bleeding.

Officers applied a tourniquet until medics arrived. Henry was in a bedroom inside the home.

Henry was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

This is an ongoing investigation.
