Long-time journalist Dick Sheffield spoke to Texans on Sept. 14 about the public opinion of media.
Sheffield is a producer for ABC News in New York and splits his time between The Big Apple and San Angelo. He was born in Fort Worth and has been working across all states. He's even found time to run a weekly newspaper in Marfa, Texas.
With his experience, he said the public should know that each story is carefully vetted, as well as what he and other journalists do.
"We source the material and we try not to interject any sort of opinion in there and let the viewers decide. But we're a 24/7 operation now," Sheffield said.
That 24/7 operations includes all platforms: social media, web, television and more.
