The incident occurred around 7:56 a.m. on August 8.

MIDLAND, Texas — Multiple people were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital on Monday after a multiple-vehicle crash occurred on WCR 127.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 7:56 a.m. and involved a 2016 Nissan Frontier and Greyhound Bus.

The initial investigation revealed the Nissan Frontier was traveling eastbound on WCR 127, while the Greyhound bus was exiting the Pilot Truck Stop to turn westbound onto WCR 127. The Greyhound bus failed to yield the right of way, which led to a collision with the Nissan Frontier.

"The scene was very chaotic, very hectic, trying to investigate the scene with 28 passengers on the bus," said Sgt. Steven Blanco, with DPS. "But our troopers got that scene worked without incident, so everything is completed on that."

Midland Fire Department and EMS helped transport six passengers from the Greyhound and the drivers of both vehicles to Midland Memorial Hospital.

There were a total of 28 passengers on the Greyhound Bus.

At last update, all of the people taken to MMH were stable.

Sgt. Blanco with increased traffic in the Permian Basin, drivers should play it extra safe.

"Just remind our drivers out there to take their time in the morning, school just started so we have a lot of traffic back out on roadways," said Blanco.
