ABILENE, Texas — The Abilene Police Department said Tuesday that a pedestrian has died after being struck by a train on the city's east side.
According to the APD, the 41-year-old Abilene man was killed just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. The incident happened on the train tracks just east of the Leggett Drive crossover.
Initial reports show the man, identified by Abilene Police as Jason Anthony, was on the tracks when he was hit by the train.
Next of kin notification has been made. This is being conducted as a death investigation, the APD said
