Railway Day Festival set for May 14

The festival is hosted by the Railway Museum of San Angelo.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Railway Days is Saturday, May 14, at the Railway Museum of San Angelo, 703 S. Chadbourne St.

The festival includes living history tours, a car show, tours of the caboose and engine, rides on the 'Choo Choo Train' for children, entertainment, vendors and food trucks.

At 11 a.m., there will be a dedication of the original sheep sculpture. At noon, there will be a performance by the Concho Cowboys and a drone photo will be taken at 1 p.m.

For the drone photo outside the museum, everyone is invited to dress up in "old-timey" clothes.

All model railroaders are invited for Railway Days to show, swap or sell. They can bring their model trains and equipment and set up on tables on the depot platform at 9 a.m.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There is no charge for tables and no percentage will be taken from model railroaders’ sales.
