The nation-wide initiative to bring awareness to kids and parents about being drug free. Kids are being exposed to drugs and alcohol at a younger age. The alcohol and drug abuse council of the Concho Valley says it's never too early to start having conversations about illegal substances. There is a pivotal age that parents should target though.
“They're all facing different situations at different times in their lives but it's especially important to talk to kids through elementary school to middle school that transitional stage of 4th, 5th 6th grades,” Ray Valadez, DFC Prevention Director said.
