SAN ANGELO, Texas — You don't have to be an artist to let your creative side shine.

The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts is hosting Family Clay Day from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 10 in the Education Studio where free art activities will be offered.

The event is being hosted by SAMFA and the Concho Clay Studio on One Love Street and it will include ceramic weaving and abstract coloring, beginning at 10 a.m.

There will also be a self-guided tour and seek-and-find starting at 11 a.m. when the museum galleries are open to the public.

If looking for artwork to be fired in the kiln, the Concho Clay Studio asks for a small fee to make this possible. Clay can also be taken home for free if not.

The current exhibits on display are called "Banjara Textiles and Jewelry from the Jerez Collection" and "Towards a 21st Century with Abstraction" and these are free to the public, as well.
