San Angelo PD: Six arrested after search warrants served

In addition to the six arrests, methamphetamines and marijuana were seized.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Six people have been arrested after a search warrant was served at a home on East 22nd Street, the San Angelo Police Department said in a press release Wednesday.

According to the release, on May 10, Street Crimes detectives obtained and served a search warrant for a home in the 400 block of East 22nd Street. Street Crimes detectives, SWAT personnel and K-9 participated in the investigation.

The following items were found and seized:

  • Approximately 160 grams of methamphetamine
  • Less than 2 ounces of marijuana

Six individuals were found in the home, and all six were arrested for various charges:

  • David Gaitan - manufacture/delivery controlled substance Penalty Group 1 >=4 grams < 200 grams, possession of marijuana <2 oz.
  • Mercedes Gaitan - manufacture/delivery controlled substance Penalty Group 1 >=4 grams < 200 grams, city warrants
  • Stephanie Florez - manufacture/delivery controlled substance Penalty Group  1 >=4 grams < 200 grams, possession of marijuana <2 oz.
  • Mercedes Salazar - manufacture/delivery controlled substance Penalty Group  1 >=4 grams < 200 grams
  • Luis Jimenez – possession of a controlled substance Penalty Group 1 <1 gram, go off bond warrant
  • Michael Mares – city warrants.

No further information was available from the SAPD.
