San Angelo Police are investigating the death of a toddler.

Police say they got a call about an unconscious person at a home in the 2600 block of Junius Street around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 8th.

That's where they found the 21-month-old in the home. Police say the toddler was unresponsive and first responders gave the toddler CPR and took the child to Shannon Medical Center. The toddler was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police haven't given any details about the investigation but say it's active.

The child’s body was taken to Lubbock for an autopsy.
