The first explosion happening early morning police say a resident found a package on their front steps and it blew up inside the house while opening it.

The blast killing a seventeen-year-old boy and wounding a woman in her forties.

Hours later a second explosion also going off a woman in her seventies reportedly suffering life-threatening injuries in that blast.

Chief Brian Manley said, “A very concerted effort, by all of the agencies because we are not going to tolerate this in Austin, and every stop will be pulled out. And the federal agencies have all jumped in with us to lend us a hand to bring this to a quick a resolution as possible.”

Officials believe these two explosions are connected to a similar explosion which killed a thirty-nine-year-old man on March 2nd.

They are investigating them as homicides with a possible hate crime motive FBI and ATF are assisting with the investigation.
