Mattress Mack bets $2 million on Cowboys to beat 49ers

Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is tacking on more bets for the Dallas Cowboys.

DALLAS — Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale is tacking on to his big money bets for the Cowboys playoff success.

After placing a $200,000 bet on the Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC Championship and go to the Super Bowl earlier this month, McIngvale put another wager specifically on the NFC Divisional game against the 49ers.

Officials with Caesars Sportsbook told WFAA that McIngvale placed two separate $1 million moneyline bets (+165 and +170) on Dallas to beat San Francisco at Horseshoe Lake Charles in Louisiana. It's not uncommon for odds to change in real time, so the +170 bet will pay out slightly more than the +165, but Caesars Sportsbook said the total payout if the Cowboys win would be $3.35 million.

The payout on his $200,000 bet (made with +650 odds at the time) would receive a payout of $1.45 million.

McIngvale recently bet $1.5 million for TCU to win the national championship – a bet that would have yielded $5.55 million – but obviously lost that one after the Horned Frogs were defeated by Georgia.

McIngvale won $75 million after wagering $10 million between several sportsbooks on the Astros winning the World Series last season. As an Astros superfan, he's placed numerous bets on the Astros over the years.

Dallas and San Francisco will kick off Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT. at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Cowboys are four-point underdogs.
