It was inevitable. Just days after word spread that LeBron James was "dunked on" by Xavier University Sophomore Jordan Crawford during a skills competition at the University of Akron, "videos" are showing up online. The twist is, we're not sure if any "actual" video of the dunk still exists.
If you haven't heard, here's the deal: the pick-up game, in which the dunk occurred, took place Monday night after a day of drills at the LeBron James Skills Academy. Apparently, a few people were videotaping these games. According to several accounts, shortly after Crawford's two-handed jam over LeBron, James spoke with a Nike official, who then had the tapes confiscated.
Obviously, the video would have made Crawford an instant YouTube legend, if it hadn't been taken from videographers. This has many people wondering if LeBron actually ordered the video to be taken, because he was concerned with losing "credibility" over Crawford's dunk.
Nike officials have since said the video was taken because videotaping those games is "not allowed". However, to date, no one has been able to find this rule in any of the camp guidelines.
Now, the outrage over "Dunk-gate" is growing and amateurs are creating their own videos of the incident. We found several and posted one below.
However, we can't guarantee you'll be able to see anything, because it appears YouTube is pulling these down, too. Several video links state: "This video has been removed due to terms of use violation."
At this point, it appears, nobody will ever see the in-famous Crawford Over LeBron dunk.
