(MYFOX NATIONAL) - Despite missing the playoffs every year this decade, the Florida Panthers have some of the highest ticket prices in the NHL. Now their fans are hoping NFL super-agent Drew Rosenhaus can do something about it.

Yahoo Sports reported that Rosenhaus posted the following message on his Twitter feed Wednesday morning: "I have been hired by the fans of the NHL's Florida Panthers to negotiate lower season ticket prices. I will keep you posted on the outcome."

Rosenhaus, who is is known for his aggressive representation of his NFL clients including Terrell Owens, Plaxico Burress and Chad Ochocinco, is actually working for the Panthers. He has been hired by the team as part of its new marketing campaign.

"Drew is working with us, and the premise of the marketing campaign is that he has been hired by Panthers fans to renegotiate season-ticket pricing with the club," Matt Sacco, director of public relations for the Panthers, told Yahoo. "He was here yesterday to film two TV commercials and a couple of radio spots, and be involved in a couple of print ads. The campaign is launching next Tuesday, but we're starting it now virally."

Last season, the Panthers introduced a promotion offering fans free tickets during the 2009-10 season if they failed to make the playoffs. According to the team, all free tickets that were promised will be honored next season.
