HUMBLE, TX - A fifth grade class ended up helping a first grader enjoy life a little more.

Fifth graders at Lakeshore Elementary in Humble, Texas spent the last few months studying a 3D printer.

A recent assignment had them using the technology to make something.

The kids say a first grader who was born without a hand was the first person that came to mind.

For Joshua Shanks, the new gadget is a cool new toy.

The class turned an idea into reality simply by pushing “print”!
