Pollinators help the plants fertilize themselves so that we can get the fruits and vegetables we eat.

And this week, they’re being celebrated – it’s pollinators’ week!

From honeybees to butterflies and even bats, these are the pollinators that make an invisible, yet invaluable, contribution for much of our food.

“Pollinators are actually responsible for the reproduction of about 75 percent of our commercially-grown fruits and vegetables. So, they’re extremely important for our food sources,” Annaliese Scoggin, a biologist for Texas Parks and Wildlife, said.
