‘Rosie the Riveter' Revisits Factory

A new piece of World War II history is on display this Saturday in Wichita.

WICHITA, KS - A new piece of World War II history is on display this Saturday in Wichita, Kansas.

To mark the occasion, one of the original so-called “Rosie the Riveters” who built every B-29 in Wichita, Kansas got a VIP tour.

Connie Palacioz is now 92-years-old. She returned to the factory where she had worked for the first time in 75 years.

During her visit, the trailblazer took time out to assume the iconic “Rosie the Riveter” pose, with her arm flexed, to show the power of women.

“It feels great. I never thought I would be. I don’t feel like a celebrity. I still feel like I’m calm, but it’s great,” Palacioz said.

Palacioz did not leave empty-handed. Spirit gave her a modern-day riveter!
