SHERMAN OAKS, CA - A rare Disneyland map created by Walt Disney himself sold for a whopping $708,000.
“The Happiest Place on Earth” for Disney fans was Sherman Oaks, California this weekend. Nearly 1,000 iconic Disney artifacts were up on the auction block at Van Eaton Galleries.
Among the prized items was an original Disneyland map created by Walt Disney and artist Herb Ryman. It was used to secure the initial funding for Disneyland in 1953.
The map has now become the most expensive Disneyland map ever sold.
