$100K allegedly stolen from San Angelo non-profit agency

SAN ANGELO, TX - A 39 year-old man was arrested and charged with stealing more than $100,000 from the San Angelo Emergency Corps. 

Clinton Pelzel was charged with theft of property between $30,000 to $150,000 from a non-profit organization, according to jail records.

According to an affidavit, the thefts began occurring in January 2011 and ended in early 2016.

Pelzel was said to be Corps former treasurer.

Bank records indicated numerous checks were written over the years out of Corp's account and were deposited into Pelzel's business account: "Floors Unlimited," according to an affidavit. 

Pelzel's bond was set at $25,000. 

He has since been released from jail.
