SAN ANGELO, TX - Rules and regulations about Twin Buttes have changed quite a bit but one thing that hasn't changed; is the amount of trash dumped on the public land.
This Saturday is your chance to help change that. There will be a public volunteer clean up starting at 8:30 in the morning. There will be two locations for volunteers to meet up. The ultimate goal help people see that their efforts to keep the land clean matter.
“To get the community to buy in, to take some ownership of Twin Buttes, to value it a little bit more, and eventually have that cultural change where we take care of our public lands,” Lt. Game Warden Jason Huebner said.
You do not have to have a permit to participate in this event. There will be water, porta-potties, and trash bags provided.
