SAN ANGELO, TX - ASU is reminding the community that to fly a drone on campus you need to be granted approval first.
The University first implemented this policy back in August of 2015 but as the tech popularity grows they want to remind everyone of the rules.
The latest incidents with drones on campus caused the delay of a football game and another interrupted a ram-jam performance as the drone flew too close to the performer on stage.
“they can be intrusive and sometimes people don’t understand the rules. You have to have a pondering department in most cases that going to be us the marketing department and people just need to get in touch with us.
You can request permission by contacting ASU at 942-2248 first then that request is sent out to the a-s-u police department for approval.
