Community engagement across the Big Country helps those down south

Cities in West Texas are making a difference at home to help those in Houston and in shelters.

BIG COUNTRY, TX - Across Texas there has been an out pour of support for the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Here is a glimpse into how West Texas is making an impact.

The police department in Sonora has been collecting water to donate. 

A high school in Menard is also collecting items for a shelter out in Temple. 

Another picture from Kimble County shows residents donating water, clothing and bags of items.
