Feed prices slightly increase at Palmer's

SAN ANGELO, TX - If you stopped by Palmer’s recently you may have paid a little more for your product.
Prices jumped in a matter of 3 to 4 days by almost $70 a ton. Which led to a $20 to $40 price increase in items like range cubes.
Palmers says that feed and other products that are protein based have gone up due to the increase in cotton seed mill prices.
It's gotten cold and dry along with an increase in usage and that has the plants trying to keep up with demand.

Bridget Scott says, there were some plants that have been closed around the United States and the cotton seed mill plants in Lubbock right now are supporting a 4 to 5 state area so they're really having to push to keep up.

Scott says range cubes are the item most impacted but she doesn't expect them to stay high too long as Spring approaches.
