Fox Means Business: June 13

Tuesday's business headlines.

Getting a job this summer could be a snap! That’s because McDonald’s is partnering with Snapchat to hire 200,000 workers over the next few months. Starting on June 13, Snapchat users will have access to 10-second ads about the restaurant. From there, they can go to the McDonald’s career page to apply.

And it’s not just Mickey D’s that’s hiring! German supermarket chain Aldi is planning to open 900 new stores in the U.S. over the next four years. The expansion is expected to create 25,000 jobs.

Meanwhile, the tech sell-off on Friday spread across Wall Street on Monday. The NASDAQ index, full of technology companies, which hit new highs recently, saw another big drop. And that helped pull down the overall market.

But utility stocks bucked that trend. They rose with temperatures across much of the country, as Americans crank up the A/C.

And with Father’s Day this weekend, a new report from WalletHub named Connecticut the best state for working dads. Income, work-life balance and men’s health are some of the big reasons why.
