Gas prices down as demand decreases

SAN ANGELO, TX - Gas prices are going down as the demand decreases at the pump.

According to AAA the gas price average in Texas is currently at $2.24.
That is three cents less than prices last week.

All major cities in Texas saw a decrease in prices this week with the exception of Galveston, Midland, and Odessa.

With the rigs increasing their productivity and putting oil and gas into the market the supply is going to be high. Which means if the demand is low the prices are definitely going to drop. High gas prices tend to decrease the amount of drivers on the road.

Nunez adds that the low gas prices is a strong contributor to the increase in travel this holiday season.
