Man shot and injured in north San Angelo, suspect fled scene

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of E. 28th St. around 12:21 a.m. for the report of a shooting victims on Oct. 11.

 

The victim was found on the front porch, bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. An officer applied a department-issued tourniquet to the man’s leg until the San Angelo Fire Department medics arrived and assumed medical care.

"The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center for treatment. The victim’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening," according to a SAPD press release. 

SAPD's Criminal Investigations Division is searching for a suspect who shot the 30-year-old San Angelo man. 

The unknown suspect reportedly fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police believe the suspect may be a Hispanic male in his teens.
