Mathis Field's plans for grant money

San Angelo's Regional Airport, Mathis Field has been awarded $4,250,000 in grants and plans to use this money are official.

SAN ANGELO, TX - The San Angelo Regional Airport, Mathis Field, has been awarded $4,2500,000 in grants. 

According to Airport Director Luis Elguezbal, the federal grant will be specifically used for taxiway reconfiguration, aircraft rescue, firefighter trucks and a payment plan.

The taxiway project was awarded to the local company, Reece Albert Inc. the morning of Monday, Aug. 14 by City Council.

No city funds will be used to fund these projects.
