SAN ANGELO, TX - After a lengthy investigation between top law officials and Tom Green County, officials were led to a meth drug bust, putting 24 people behind bars.
SAPD along with the DEA and the Texas Department of Public Safety arrested those 24 people. Five of whom are believed to be in a gang.
In nine search warrants, authorities seized 72 pounds of meth, 2.9 pounds of cocaine and less than 4 ounces of heroin.
Authorities also found 26 guns, one vehicle and $90,000 in cash.
These suspects were prosecuted in federal court with help from U.S. attorneys. Seventeen suspects are still awaiting trial.
