Pumpkin patch fun in San Angelo

The patch is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will operate through the end of October. The pumpkin patch is located on 4522 College Hills Blvd.

SAN ANGELO, TX - Thousands of pumpkins of various sizes are on sale at Sierra Vista United Methodist Church's pumpkin patch.

The patch has been in San Angelo for more than 20 years.

"Since it is a fundraiser the pumpkins are a little big higher than what you can get at the grocery store," Tina Glass, director of youth ministries at SVUMC, said. "The pumpkins are priced anywhere from 75 cents and go up to like $35 for the giant ones."

The church receives the pumpkins and gourds from a Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico.

The proceeds are used for youth programs at the church and given back to the reservation which employs 700 people to harvest the pumpkins.

The patch is located at 4522 College Hills Blvd and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and will operate through the end of October.
