San Angelo student selected for All-State band

SAN ANGELO, TX - Press Release

 

The Association of Texas Small Bands is pleased to announce that Tyler Stiles of

TLCA High School in San Angelo, Texas, was selected for 2018 ATTSB All-State Band.

Only 280 of the top chairs out of 2,299 students were selected for all-state honors.

The All-state Band will begin rehearsals on February 14th – 17th in San Antonio, Texas,

and present a concert on February 17th at the Lila Cockrell Theatre of the Gonzales

Convention Center in San Antonio.

 

Tyler-Paul Bradley Stiles is the son of Mr.& Mrs. Dennis Stiles of North Richland

Hills, Texas. He plays the Saxophone and Baritone Saxophone, under the

direction of Mr. Homer Stewart, who is the Band Director at TLCA High School.

This is his first time to perform as a member of the ATSSB All-State Band. Tyler

is an active member at Celebration Church in San Angelo, Texas and First United

Methodist Church of Mertzon, Texas. He enjoys playing his sax and listening to

music, running, traveling, and praying. Tyler would like to thank the Lord and

all the other people that have helped him in his school career.

 

He has a great work ethic and it shows in his talent and character.
