San Angelo talks about repealing the texting while driving city ordinance to match statewide ban

Today at 5:30 p.m. at the San Angelo City Hall, they will be repealing the local ban on texting while driving in way to enforce the statewide ban.

SAN ANGELO, TX - The City of San Angelo is discussing a repeal of the local texting while driving city ordinance Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall. 

The city is looking to "remove" the local ban and enforce the statewide ban signed by Gov. Greg Abbott. 

The ban was signed in early June and will go into effect Sept. 1.
