Wanted fugitive found and arrested

Wanted fugitive Michael Sanchez, 32, was arrested after police were tipped of on his whereabouts. SAPD was told he was at Tire World. When Sanchez was found, he ran and was then arrested. He's been since booked at Tom Green County Jail.

SAN ANGELO, TX - Wanted fugitive, Michael Sanchez, 32, was arrested by police after they were tipped off of his whereabouts. 

San Angelo police received the tip that Sanchez was at Tire World. After an officer found Sanchez, he ordered him to stop, but Sanchez ran. 

As police chased him, Sanchez threw a baggie from out of his pocket. The baggie later tested positive for meth. Sanchez also had over $700 cash on him.

Sanchez was wanted for violating terms of his bond. That bond was given after a grand jury indicted him for his role in a brutal stabbing that happened in March. 

Sanchez is booked in Tom Green County Jail.
