Police made a drug arrest on the 1100 block of south 7th street.

But they did not do it alone.

Police said two citizens helped stop an alleged drug dealer.

Officer Katie Snell said she was impressed with the Abilene citizens.

"I couldn't have asked for better help, said Snell." "It was like having another officer out there but it was the citizens. We need the citizens they help us do our job, said Snell."

Police reports state Jacob Walters was arrested for a 2nd degree felony for manufacture and or delivery of a controlled substance, evading arrest and class B possession of marijuana.

The police report states a backpack was found containing several Ziplock baggies with marijuana and methamphetamine. Police also said they found a glass pipe with white residue.

Walters bond is set at $12,750.
