The price of beef is on the rise. Many managers and owners of some local barbeque restaurants told KXVA's Tabetha Cain their starting to feel a pinch in their budgets.
Here at dickeys barbeque the money is driving in.
And flies right back out.
According to the US Department of agriculture beef prices are on the rise and they say prices will keep rising.
The owner of dickey's barbeque said they haven't raised prices and they are doing everything they can to prevent that.
The president of the Abilene livestock auction said prices are higher than he's ever seen them.
He told us it's simple, supply and demand.
Because of the droughts cattle herds have dwindled down to there lowest numbers since the 1950's. Causing prices across the board to claimb.
Many beef lovers said they have noticed an increase in the prices but that won't stop them from ordering it in the future.
Prices are expected to keep going up into 2015.
