HSU Students Caught for Fake Tickets at ACU

Posted: Updated:

Campus police at Abilene Christian University said they have the names of all five men who placed fake parking tickets on student's cars.

The five white men are all current Hardin-Simmons University students.

Police believe the tickets were randomly given out, except for one case where they do believe a student was targeted.

The president of HSU said had this to say today in a statement sent out by the University.

"I strongly denounce these actions and wholly reject both the racism expressed in the offensive messages and their sexually offensive nature."

The tickets were given out in a parking lot between the college of business building and the women's hall.

Now whether the victims press charges or not many students agree this is a message to the community.

The five men involved can face harassment charges which could range from a $2,000 fine up to six months in jail.

Chief Ellison said victims have to press charges in order to prosecute them. We'll follow up with this story if victims do press charges.
