Your San Angelo Bandit's were robbed of a very important victory this past weekend by the shining New Mexico Stars. The Bandit's lead the game with a score of 26-6 at one point, and let the lead slip away, eventually losing the game 54-47 and according to head coach Joe Brannen, his guys just got comfortable and complacent.
Although this loss brings the Bandits to a 0-6 road record. The team and the coaching staff are remaining positive heading into their second to last week of regular season practice. If the Bandit's hope to maintain or better their second place standing in the Lone Star Football League, Joe's team needs to pull off at least one road win out of their last two away games.
At this point in the season these guys know the play book cover to cover, and now it's about perfecting their mental game. "We had a pretty good talk in the locker room after that game, they had a long quiet bus ride to kinda think about some things on the way home from new mexico." Coach Brannen explained, and continued to say, "and i think they are a pretty professional group. They have responded well to losses so far this year and i think they will come out ready to work here starting with film today and into our practice week."
The Bandits are hoping to score their first road win against the number one ranked Rio Grande Valley Sol this Saturday.
