Who are you?
- I’m Gabe Vela, news director for FOX West Texas. I’ve been in news for about 15 years, spending most of my career as a news producer. I’m originally from Corpus Christi, but have lived in East, South and now West Texas.
What are your interests?
- As a dad of 3, my interests often change with my children. From video games to toys and movies, I love learning about their interests and getting involved in any way that I can.
What do you like about working at FOX West Texas?
- I came to FOX West Texas to share my passion of news with my team. Everyone here has big dreams for their future and I am excited to help grow their careers.
What's one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
- I’m a huge “FRIENDS” fan. My wife and I have binged all 10 seasons several times. The Halloween episode is our favorite.
