Angelo State University Wind Ensemble set for final public concert of the year

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Angelo State University Wind Ensemble will present ASU's final public concert of the fall semester at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the ASU Auditorium inside the Mayer Administration Building at 2601 W. Avenue N.

"Fiesta" is free and open to the public.

The concert program will include:

  • "First Suite in E-flat" by Gustav Holst
  • "Everything Beautiful" by Samuel Hazo
  • "Legacy" by Richard Saucedo
  • "La Fiesta Mexicana" by H. Owen Reed

The ASU Wind Ensemble features more than 50 student musicians performing on various woodwind, brass and percussion instruments and is directed by Dr. Jonathan Alvis, associate professor of music and ASU director of bands.

Everyone attending the concert will need to complete ASU's visitor wellness screening and be prepared to show their wellness screening badge before entering the ASU Auditorium. Masks/face coverings are encouraged, but are not mandatory.
