SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Heritage Park Family Tour Day event will take place from 11 a.m. to approximately noon Saturday, June 20, at 36 E. Twohig Ave.

Candis Hicks, educational and historic curator of Heritage Park of San Angelo, said after not having the March event, she is excited for its return this weekend.

Attendees will be presented with a history of the park, as well as music from artist, Susan Landers Kolb. The park's history will include information such as who donated the land and how to use the kiosk and big-screen television.

Visitors can sit along the wall and ledge, however they are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and beverages, however glass is not permitted.

Masks are welcome for those who wish to use them. Hicks said there is enough room for attendees to practice social distancing within the park, as well as throughout the perimeter.

The next event is scheduled for September and will be to celebrate back to school. Field trips for organizations, family reunions or churches are available at no cost.
