SAN ANGELO, Texas — As a way for teenage parents to receive much-needed items, La Esperanza Clinics and Young Lives have teamed up to host a Winter Wonderland drive-thru event from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 3, at 413 E. Avenue D.

A press release from La Esperanza said Success By 6 is a program designed to help children of teenage parents. Children need a good start in life because the major part of their brain development occurs between conception and the age of six. If a child has good prenatal care and receives good physical, emotional and educational care, he or she can be successful in life.

The program provides community resources and skills necessary to ensure children born to teenage parents will have an improved chance of being successful in life. It will also ensure that the teen parent will be given all the information and training necessary to carry out a lifetime of good parenting and be self-sufficient.
