The San Angelo Fire Department is hosting a 9/11 memorial service at 9 a.m. Sept. 11, at the City’s 9/11 monument, on the Concho River.

The public is invited to attend to remember and honor those who perished during the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The monument is near Celebration Bridge along the Concho River and adjacent to the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, 1 Love St.

Keynote speaker will be Col. Andres R. Nazario, Commander of the 17th Training Wing at Goodfellow Air Force Base.

The memorial was dedicated Sept. 8, 2003, in honor of those who died in the attacks.
