San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts set to host virtual Family Day Give Back Dec. 12

Free activity kits will be distributed by SAMFA staff at the drive-thru event.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts education staff will host Family Day Give Back online with pickup kits available via drive-thru to the main entrance. 

Kits will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the museum, 1 Love St. 

Junior League of San Angelo members will also be distributing free Christmas books and SNACKTIVITY kits via the Junior League’s Kids in the Kitchen program.

Each kit contains information about featured artists in the current True Texas exhibit. "True Texas: Folk & Traditional Arts of the Concho Valley," a juried selection of contemporary handcrafted works by makers in the region.

Activities include embroidery kits, letters to the troops, 3-D Christmas trees and more. 

Anyone who wishes to participate can drive up to the circle driveway at the main entrance to museum and education staff will deliver a kit to your vehicle from 10 a.m. to noon. Otherwise, visit the front office in the afternoon to pick up a kit.

For those who can’t make it, any leftover kits will be delivered the following week to the children’s section of the Stephens Central Library.
