Fort Concho will host a book signing to feature three authors from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Officers Quarters 8, 215 E. Avenue D.

Linda Hermes will have copies of her “Hoot and Holler” series available, based on her past volunteer experiences and observations of the fort’s many mule teams since the mid-1980s.

Linda Bonds will have her publication of “San Angelo A to Z” that discusses the community’s history and current cultural assets.

John Langellier’s “Scouting with the Buffalo Soldiers” covers Army scout Lt. Powhatan Clark, western artist Frederic Remington and the 10th U.S. Cavalry composed of Black soldiers.

“This is a great early Christmas shopping opportunity, as these publications would please both adult and young readers,” Fort Concho Site Manager Bob Bluthardt said.

All three publications will have a one-time special offer of a 20% discount.
